Aims & Scope (ACER)
The Indian Chemical Society popularises chemistry teaching and research since inception
(1924). The Society has decided to publish “Accounts of Chemical Education and Research
(ACER)” as peer reviewed journal to publish research articles for chemical education fostering
in high school level and also for colleges and universities. The objective of the journal is to
publish lucidly written and illustrated articles on themes cutting across Chemical Sciences and
Industry that in turn will reflect the wide spread development of Chemical sciences and allied
areas in physics, biology, pharmacy, forensic, engineering chemistry etc. The target readers of
ACER will be Teachers, Researchers and Students finding interest in Chemistry – specially
Graduate and Post Graduate Students as well as Research Scholars and Faculty Members in all
areas that have links to Chemical Sciences and Technology.
Objectives
- To be recognized as fundamental resource in chemical education for the School,
College and University Students.
- To promote pedagogy in the global chemistry fraternity promoting issues related to the teaching and learning of chemistry
- To promote the scholarly exchange of information about the safety issues, environmental sustainability and knowledge development in the field of process technology.
- To arrange bi-annual meeting with school, college, university students and researcher
for mentoring chemical education.
